Melodramatic “Mommy” and Trippy “The Duke Of Burgundy”

Steve Scher and Robert Horton talk about an old Jimmy Stewart film, “Fool’s Parade” on The Overlook Podcast.  But the focus is on a couple of new films. “Mommy” is a bold new work about living with a problem child that too often veers into melodrama. “The Duke of Burgundy” is a film that recalls films from the sixties in style, though it isn’t always clear what is going on.
